What is MuseumDigit?

The MuseumDigit conference series operates at the intersection of culture, art, and technology. It seeks answers to theoretical questions that concern museum professionals and showcases innovative projects realized in the field of cultural heritage preservation.

Who is the target audience for the conference?

We welcome professionals working in museums and public collections, but the conference may also be of interest to those from the cultural sector, IT sector, and creative fields.

In what language(s) will the conference be held?

The conference will be held in Hungarian and English, with simultaneous interpretation provided between these two languages.

Who organizes the conference?

The MuseumDigit conference is organized by the Hungarian National Museum’s National Museum Methodological and Information Center (OMMIK), under the Directorate of Innovation and Training, for the eleventh year.

Is there a participant limit for the conference?

The conference will be held in the Grand Hall of the Hungarian National Museum, where seating is unfortunately limited. Therefore, we can sell a maximum of 200 tickets for each day. Since seats fill up quickly, we recommend not leaving ticket purchases until the last minute to ensure your participation.

How can I secure my participation in the conference?

A ticket purchase is necessary to attend the conference. Employees of the HNMPCC can attend at a discounted rate and must purchase a ticket for 0 HUF.

How much do tickets cost for the 2024 MuseumDigit conference?

The daily ticket costs 10,000 HUF. The conference lasts for two days.

What does the daily ticket price include?

A daily ticket provides access to the conference venue on the selected day, includes attendance at the conference presentations, simultaneous interpretation between Hungarian and English if needed, and the opportunity to submit questions that the speakers will answer at the end of the day. Guests arriving at the conference will be welcomed with refreshments and pastries during coffee breaks.

I am a HNMPCC employee; do I need to buy a ticket?

Yes – employees of HNMPCC must purchase a ticket for 0 HUF. This is the only way we can track the number of available spots, as the capacity of the Grand Hall is limited.

Entry to the conference will not be possible without the QR code received from the ticket purchase.

I would like to buy a ticket, but I can only pay via bank transfer, and I need an invoice for that. What should I do?

It is possible to pay for tickets via bank transfer with an invoice. During the ticket purchase, you can indicate how you would like to pay. We will inform buyers by email about the necessary steps for payment.

Can I participate as a speaker at the conference?

The conference organizers have invited speakers based on a professional program; unfortunately, individual applications are not accepted.
